@tragivictoria@mastodon.com.pl it's a "random talk" at an official KDE conference, so clearly the official stance is that they want this to happen, which indicates that they're likely gonna just push this through, steamroll the community because a few people at the top want it to happen
I really really hope I'm wrong and that it won't happen, and the main reason I made this post is to try put pressure on them to not go through with this, because as a one-time minor contributor this is really the most I can do

Just because someone say something on the conference doesn't mean it's a law. Events are first and foremost a space for contributors to share what they want to say, not to showcase some official direction of the project or anything. > and the main reason I made this post is to try put pressure You didn't put pressure, you have caused them distress over something they can't even control. From what I asked around, not many KDE contributors even like this talk, but somehow that didn't stopped people from starting this nonsense.
