Ah so the people there are still ethnically brazillian/argentinian right? i.e. the people are indigenous themselves, just not the rulers?
or are the majority of people of european descent too?

First mixed race president was in 1909. [Argentina](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonial_Argentina) 80ish% European descent 16% indigenous Also it's worth pointing out that both countries speak European languages and are majority Catholic.
