@thisislieven@c.im I'm always suspicious of government censorship. archive.today threatens the whole advertising media economy, but I'm pointing at Grupo PRISA (El País) because it is the centrist paper of record since the transition, but also because it carries a billion in debt and capital never relinquishes control. I could also point to Grupo Planeta (La Razón) but they have less pull with the gov.

@celeduc@mastodon.social Sort of a chicken-egg thing. Are the evil ones responsible or those who enable it? I expect better of the Sanchez government but perhaps that was always a little naive to begin with. And I don't quite understand how we've ever allowed the media to be so concentrated in the hands of the few.
