@Salum
In the 1950s Isaac Asimov wrote “A feeling of power” abouta low-level tech who rediscovers pencil and paper arithmetic in a future where humanity has completely forgotten that humans ever did math themselves, relying entirely on calculators.
The military gets excited: a human who can compute ballistic trajectories is effectively a free guidance system, making people-guided missiles much cheaper than computers-guided ones.
