@evacide@hachyderm.io Not defending Meta's initiative, nor playing devil's advocate., and I am loathe to see these devices in public. That said I was talking to my optometrist and they explained how helpful the glasses were for low vision folks, more so than existing solutions. Question I had and I really don't know - what was the balance of privacy and accessibility? I think any answer must also consider that Meta is a bad faith actor and we cannot assume good intentions. Also apologies - I do not mean to make you specifically the respondent for all questions that rightfully belong to Meta, this just seems like a forum where we would see something more substantive than PR fluff.
