Experiences with minoxidil
Last year I had several mental health episodes which led to telogen effluvium (stress-induced temporary hair loss). It started last February. I saw a dermatologist and got on minoxidil in July. When did the shedding stop for you? The plan is I go back for a check-in this coming January and taper back off July 2027.

I just started taking it a couple months ago and I have mostly stopped shedding and am experiencing hella hair growth. I used to be able to go a day without shaving my face but now I get five o’clock shadow. The shiny bald spots I had are effectively neutralized already too which surprised me I was not expecting any positive results until December. The hair on my hands and chest is aggressive but at least I cash just shave it off. Overall I’m really happy because without the shiny bald patch at the very back I don’t get any dysphoria.
