@ernie@writing.exchange Could also just be a loose connection. Since you're already comfortable opening it, may be worth reseating it. And if it's one of those ribbon cables with contact pads, probably wouldn't hurt to give them a gentle rub with a pencil eraser.

@drsbaitso@infosec.exchange I did try to reseat this morning but I think the issue is actually with the hinge. I spotted a cable that appeared a little worn down but I could not confirm it was related
