@aks@scalie.zone Been thinking about this too.
I was (and still am to a certain extend) worried about AI replacing my skills and falling behind.
After pondering over this for some days I came to the following conclusion:
I am one of those weirdos, who actually like to _write_ software.
I've learned to use tools which improve my speed at which I can write & iterate and it makes me quite fast, so I don't really feel like I need to improve my speed with a bullshit generator.
I also enjoy typing and thinking about implementation details, so I actually like to do everything by hand.
Furthermore, it does not feel rewarding for me, if I create something while taking huge shortcuts, so that's another argument against it in my book.
Honestly I've started to ignore what the AI people are saying about software development and concentrate on my own stuff and I really recommend it. Always worrying about something you cannot change will just make your mental health deteriorate.
