The car of the day: 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray with a 427 and in Chevrolet Forest Green at a car show I stumbled across while on assignment today. The white ‘75 Stingray next to it wasn’t too shabby; that one reminded me of the ‘Vette Bill Bixby drove in “The Magician.”

@BrianJopek@mastodon.world Just before we started dating, my wife had a then-new 1968 Corvette with a 427, triple carbs no less. Even though we knew each other and worked together, she wouldn't let me drive it. She traded it in on a 1969 Impala which we drove on our honeymoon and in which we brought home our first child. Not as cool as the 'Vette, though.
