It's time for another episode of Mad at Big Tech. I've been happily using MS Office 2019 (Excel, mostly) on my old MacBook Pro. Yesterday I got an email from Microsoft that said the software will quit working on 7/13/26 due to security certificates that will not be updated. I can't upgrade because my computer is old, and I don't want to use the web version of Office. I'm already blocking incoming connections with the firewall; will that help? Any thoughts on LibreOffice or other alternatives?
