I think i spent months, years, in this old/new mastodon instance posting about shibari and workshops without a single picture. A mix of laziness, not being online so much anymore and not wanting to feed the "engaging" mindset. Today i post what we did at my last sunday's rope workshop in Berlin. Participants wanted to do bamboos, not think in patterns, and learn how to think about structure and putting things in place in a sound and painless way, but no patterns nor cooking recipes. A lot of anatomy white magic (aka taking the time to behold how people's bodies are indeed different). I don't like when rope goes unnecessarily complicated, e.g. bamboos without a function, randomly added (spoiler: a function could be adding beauty, pain, tension, relief, absurdity, and all those live in the eye of the beholder). my personal tying is usually messier/noisier. For teaching I use a cleaner, casual, down to earth style for clarity. #shibari #ropebondage #shibariworkshop #shibariBerlin
