I am completely in love with these little floofers! Can you blame me? Look at it! JUST LOOK AT IT! 💕 This is a Goldcrest and they have a few nifty facts to share. Did you know: Goldcrests are almost exclusively insectivorous, with spiders forming an important part of the diet 🕷️ Goldcrests have an incredibly fast metabolism and must eat almost constantly to avoid starving, especially during cold weather 🍿 🍟 🍕 Goldcrests can fly up to 500 miles (800 km) in a single day ✈️ 🐤 Goldcrests have a high adult mortality rate and a short average lifespan of eight months. This is one of the shortest lifespans of any bird species. 🥺 I hope everyone has a beautiful day! No matter what, stay feather positive! 🪶 BirdBrainer Daily Challenge — Sep 29, 2026 ✅ Got it! 🔥 3 day streak Play at https://birdbrainer.app #birdbrainerapp #birdbrainer #birds Bird of the Day Goldcrest Regulus regulus Photo credit: Martin Pelanek
