Stealing from @pluralistic@mamot.fr ... these days, corporations are not concerned with revenue, they are concerned with growth for the shareholders
It's no longer enough to run a nice, profitable business
You have to show that next year's profit will be more than this year's

@codebyjeff@hachyderm.io @pluralistic@mamot.fr The fun part is that as people have less and less "extra" money they'll be more and more critical of the money they do spend. Enshittification will make them ask "why do I pay for this again?" and the number for next year will go down. Enshittification will increase as a result. I, for one, am excited for the rapid death spiral.
