I suspect that earlier in his governorship he was willing to go along more with the Democratic legislature because he knew it would not risk his re-election. Now that he has his eyes on the presidency he is going straight down the middle, which these days is basically the Right.

which these days is basically the Right By European standards, the American center is on par with AfD, Örebro, and Borgernes Parti. Gavin Newsom is a right wing fascist.
