Gross. I didn’t sign up for the draft until I went to university, it was mandatory for admissions. But no matter what you can always burn your draft card and refuse to fight

In theory registration was optional in the US, however if you're a male that's unregistered you can't get financial aid for college among other impacts. So it was kind of an echo of what we already have, the poverty draft.
