@aurynn@cloudisland.nz macOS 27 release is next week (Monday 2026-09-14, presumably US/Pacific — so our Tuesday). And typically macOS versions are supported (at least with security patches) for 3 years. Which for macOS 15 — last “all x86-64 machines” release would be one more year, ending sometime in September 2027. That said, people are already rushing to abandon building for macOS Intel. Including HomeBrew who stopped last month (August 2026, slightly ahead of schedule as their Intel CI machine broke) :-/

    @ewenmcneill@cloudisland.nz Oh, I guess I got it early since I was running on the beta, since it offered the upgrade to a non-beta release today
