yeah; the media tends to treat Trump's wildly racist and genocidal statements as one embarrassing thing over here, and ICE murders as a more serious thing over there. 1

But when Hitler says, "Jews are trying to destroy us" and then Hitler's goons smash Jewish stores, we understand that those things are connected. It wasn't an accidental overreach by the goons. (the nazis did actually try to say it was in Kristallnacht, but they were lying.)
