RIP Don Cooper, former White Sox pitching coach and my personal coach when I was a kid. I learned so much from him about pitching. All of it still as valid today, even if we changed terminology a bit. And it’s still central to what I have taught every kid I’ve ever worked with, including my own son. Coop was an amazing teacher and an incredible person that made a young kid feel like anything was possible and did nothing but build confidence and trust. I still think of him and can hear his voice, even to this day.
