They wouldn't have to do it all on day one, everything keeps working fine the way it is, this would be an _addition_, right? There's some functionality in Mastodon that's not in GoToSocial, for example, but that's not keeping me from living a rich, varied, activitypubbed life, so to speak. Plus all these platforms are open source, so if people want the functionality, they _can_ make it happen.
