I honestly think that the US cutting off the international humanitarian aid agencies and NGOs that I used to work for caused more harm to my bottom line than the proliferation of LLMs.

@alda@topspicy.social It’s all harm, short and long term, one huge cauldron of calamity as wrought by a group of idiots among other places, but prominently featuring the US executing selfish, myopic greed, a typical human failure that our species frequently displays. We’re not team players, many of us are “grab it all while we can and hope for the best” even despite abundant evidence that this is a failed strategy. It approaches ignorant “death wish” status for those in the US who support it.
