One thing I feel people forget when talking about AI slop is the alternative in many cases are human slop. It’s not like all work are done well rested, with good priorities and the time to do it right. Sometimes (when not crucial) its better to go 90-95% in 10 min than 95% in 2 days. What is terrifying is not knowing the 5-10%. Its like self driving cars. We might end up with 90% less crashes (in the looong run), but the last 10% might be very easily avoided by a human. Are we comparing apples to strawberries?
