You think they give a shit? They buy the bullshit that this is endangering their children. That there’s social contagion and theirs could be next, and it also means their kid might be going to hell etc. Unfortunately, changing hearts and minds is complicated. But it’s the only way we get to a world of empathy toward those of us who are different.
