Is there a spot for open water swimming around the Meatpacking District? This is a question for the #openwaterswimming community here on mastodon: I’m travelling to #nyc soon and will stay around the mentioned district. I just learned about the Gansevoort Peninsula, which sounds perfect. But swimming seems to be prohibited there explicitly. But how is this handled in real life? Would anyone mind a random dude dipping into the river for five minutes in the early morning? Not planning a long swim, just a little experience. 🏊‍♂️☀️
