Do you think this gives the AI companies more credit than they are due? It implies they actually have the ability to achieve this, and I just don’t think they do.

Maybe they don’t, but that’s a hell of a gamble in the name of…slop and pornification? Maybe they don’t have the ability to achieve this, but at the very least they have certainly built the one that could build the one that can achieve it. This would all be a little less concerning if robotics wasn’t racing ahead at leaps and bounds at the same time.

Yeah all the financial frauds and cybercrime would be enough. This sort of AI doomerism is just another form of booster narrative
