I installed a brand new Nest Protect smoke/CO alarm today aaaand then I blew out a candle and it immediately went off, blaring all the alarms around the house. 🤦‍♂️ To be fair, it was a pretty smoky candle and the smoke detector is right outside the bathroom door where the candle was, but I thought it would have given me more of a heads up before blaring all the alarms. If there was a real, unexpected fire, I would have been grateful. But what a nuisance of a first impression. 😅
