I just published A FAQ concerning the current KDE situation.
Here I explain some things that I know about the current controversies going online.
It still needs revisions on the matter of community voices, but that will be for later. This 13 min read post took several hours across two days to write, and I need some time off before revising it further.

@herzenschein@furry.engineer RE: Why did you remove the policy proposal? You explained why it was locked, but the elephant in the room is that it was marked as confidential. There was no need for it to be hidden away. Locking is one thing, and I can personally understand why it was used, e.g. GitLab's non-existent moderation tooling, but marking it as confidential was an overkill and reeks.
