@arnapou@phpc.social @ramsey@phpc.social Several years into playing on and off, I now recognise that the 'main quest' Artemis/Apollo/Atlas story line is a giant tutorial level. It must be completed to unlock the full range of capabilities.
Once complete, you're free to roam around its 14.8 x 10^18 possible planets in whichever manner you like.
I found this wiki to be helpful in those times I was confused or at a seeming dead end.

@SnelsetterFarm@mastodon.scot @ramsey@phpc.social Yes. That wiki is very useful to understand what to do with items you get here and there. Sometimes, the ingame description tells something which apparently does not work, went to the wiki to discover some explanation of randomness etc… ex. obtaining more living frigates for your cargo, using food on them… Have fun exploring 🫶
