@tobias_duesseldorf@climatejustice.social @Abelvicent@mastodon.social It doesn't happen instant. The project started in 1992 at a time when farming influence became notable. Also, not regulations but voluntary agreements between the city utility company and farmers in source regions which cover about 44 square km - plus another 18 sq-km of forests owned by the city, acquired over roughly 150 years :) Maybe this helps: https://www.swm.de/unternehmen/magazin/leben/wasserversorgung-muenchen-geschichte
