These messages take the form of Palestinians begging for help and asking for money. Some messages show gruesome images of human suffering, while others simply aim to milk your sympathy dry. The aim is to make people look away from Palestine, to regard the situation in Palestine as hopeless, and resign oneself to ignoring it.
