Urban Trees
"Urban trees are known to improve air quality, biodiversity and mental health. Despite this, planting in towns and cities is lagging behind need as it is
often seen as expensive and hard to establish trees in these environments. We wanted to test if new ideas could be cost-effective and yield a high survival rate.
This pilot is led by Kent County Council."

Urban Trees "This case study is based on information and experience gathered as part of an experimental trial in 16 locations in England. It describes Kent County Council’s use of the Miyawaki method, and their step-by-step approach, including some examples" https://treecouncil.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Miyawaki-Method-Handbook_v6.pdf #Miyawaki #SolarPunkSunday #Forests #Forestry #KentCountyCouncil #Trees #AirQuality #BioDiversity #MentalHealth #Kent
