Polanski cannot hide behind "only Jewish party leader" too much - he needs to set clear idea of what is antisemitic behaviour and where that line may differ from what the law treats as "inciting" or illegal speech. We need to see clear examples of how support for Palastine can be done while also combatting antisemitism - Starmer has done so much to cement that link, but Polanski (and the rest of us) cannot challenge it if he doesn't address the antisemitism #UKPol

  • @penwing@wandering.shop Over on Facebook, I frequently see a Zionist attacking the UK Greens over instances of antisemitism in their ranks. This is absolutely an attack vector, and they do need to clean house over this - criticism of the Israeli government is not in any way an excuse for antisemitism.

The other attack on Polanski comes from the police over his retweeting of a criticism of the way the arrest was handled (which was notably different to the way they address Tommy Robinson). I've now seen the video and I have to say I am not sure I'm understand the operational need for the officer who was pinning him down to get up, move round to the head and shoulders area and appear to kick (I'm not sure how forcefully) #UKPol
