A #BandcampFriday day-after observation: some albums have a "mix and match" approach to high-def files.
The CD standard (16/44.1) can sit next to higher definition audio (like 24/96 or above) among tracks in the same album release.
That's only apparent if the download is in a lossless format. Most people happily get through life unaware of that level of technical detail: if it's in stereo and it doesn't skip, it's fine.
It's generally not a problem on modern devices: they can convert if needed.
