The 2nd floor of this rowhouse is where the bedrooms are, and it's broken up into individual rooms. Because of space constraints, each room has a Coway Airmega AP-1512HH (running on high despite the noise). Look at the difference - this is the master bedroom (sorry for the blurry pic). An AQI of 42. The master bedroom is about 1/4 of the size of the basement.

The smallest bedroom is more of a closet than a bedroom. A queen-sized bed barely fits. Air leakage is absolutely minimal - it has one outside wall and window, and I replaced that window (insulating pretty well in the process) a few years ago. Yet, somehow the AQI is at 10. This Airmega should have no problem with the square footage; it really is only like 100sf.
