So many political arguments are just variations of Leftists: If you're a member of minority X, then the government shouldn't own your body! Conservatives: But what about someone who is both minority X and minority Y? Sure, we've always been okay with minority X people who are not also minority Y having rights, but the radical minority X activists are pushing their dangerous ideology onto minority Y too! The only way to stop them is to ban all minority X. Centrists: Wow, those totally good-faith conservatives really have some reasonable concerns. I was on-board with minority X getting rights until I was reminded that some minority Y people identify as being minority X.
