Doxycycline is an antibiotic, they are famous for having no effect on viruses as e.g. HIV. And even if the other party involved is honest with you they might not know that they have an STD, some are already contagious without an positive test.

Doxypep is a really common preventative prescription intended to combat HIV and bacterial based STD infections – i’m genuinely confused why you hadn’t heard of it if you’re sexually active. Do you get your healthcare in the United States because that’s the only way it makes sense that you haven’t heard of it.
