@th@social.v.st again, maybe you do not need to disable and they are doing something clever (prioritising QR and not taking a payment if both appear at the same time) but there is no way I could know this.
Another annoying thing is one of my cards (N26 bank) used by my older child was detected as two cards, with a message that I cannot present two cards at once. This was OK for me as I always multiple cards, so they could just use another one, but would be a pain for people with only one card.

@ruari@velocipederider.com my experience is that there's a distance at which the camera can read the QR code, but not trigger the NFC, so it is possible to approach slowly enough that the QR works just before the contactless payment triggers. this is not ideal since it requires lots of careful fiddling and maybe it's easier to just pop a shell on the turnstile to hack your way in.
