I’m absolutely convinced that the CIA, government, and private sector actors who were so successful in dismantling the USSR saw what it did for the oligarchy there and now are hell bent on replicating it. It’s a proven method. Ironically it’s wealth redistribution inverted from the socialist method and taken from the people to the few oligarchs. I assume there will be backlash at some point because the USA isn’t like the USSR culturally or something but. Idk maybe not. Maybe it just works.

I think that’s not ironic at all, but a corr mechanism of capitalism which socialism and communism (the theoretical one, not whatever the fuck the soviets did) are going against. Like, you wouldn’t say “This oven heats up what’s inside. Ironically, it’s a change of temperature inverted from what a fridge does”.
