@webmink@meshed.cloud "we recognize that this transition may not reflect the experience you've come to expect from us" implies "but you'd better get used to it."

@webmink@meshed.cloud Wow. Way to destroy your reputation. Historically I have thought Belkin products were great. Sad to see.

@webmink@meshed.cloud afaik you should be able to use homekit devices in home Assistent using the "homekit controller" (even without having any real homekit device). (Not tested myself, just Seen Videos about that somewhere)

@webmink@meshed.cloud Usage with #homeassistant seems to be possible for #wemo devices after that shutdown. See https://www.reddit.com/r/homeassistant/comments/1lwk3x5/comment/n2qdib3/ and also and https://github.com/pywemo/pywemo/wiki/WeMo-Cloud#disconnecting-from-the-cloud

@webmink@meshed.cloud I mean, are we ready to have tons of electronic waste just like that? As far as I can understand, the EU Directive on the Right to Repair can help, but it does not manages the problem on a large scale. I don't know if larger regulations such as the ESPR are going to fix this... @eupolicy.social
