It looks like #Ukraine used (for the first time) the domestically manufactured Pelican (FP-7) ballistic missile against #Russia last night. The Russian best defence for a ballistic attack is the S-400 Triumf but these systems depend heavily on a widespread radar detection and control network. It's expensive and #Putin does not see oil refineries as really worth it!
Interception success rate for ballistic missiles is a closely guarded secret but it is difficult to get better than 80% and target sharing for "three in a row" attacks is nearly impossible
If Ukraine can sustain Pelican manufacture this represents a turning point in the war
