@SamanthaJaneSmith I hope my kids would trust me enough for the suggestion in the article to be unnecessary, but even if they didn’t, it’s unnecessary because I wouldn’t care.
It’s telling that the article includes this: “Education secretary Bridget Phillipson said other proposed changes will include advice on mobile phone use, child sexual abuse, misogyny, grooming gangs and serious violence.”, essentially putting gender in the same category of these serious offenses (plus mobile phone use).
Ms Phillipson said: "Parents send their children to school and college trusting that they'll be protected. Teachers work tirelessly to keep them safe. That's not negotiable, and it's not a political football."
Then why are you turning this into one?

@shadows At the heart of it is they believe the trans lives are not worthwhile, undesirable, not important unlike cis lives. Most kids will tell their parents but for some they have no adults to turn to. We always have to remember that the majority of child abuse comes from parents.
