Man, the years after Sculley until Steve's re-introduction in 1997 were so lost and clueless.
Well, kind of like Apple now, except that they're killing it, financially (not that anyone should care about that).
I recently heard some rumblings that Apple is maybe paying influencers to promote the new super-expensive folding iPhone? If it's true, I'm absolutely shocked.

@rl_dane@polymaths.social @computerchronicles@mastodon.social I remember that time. Apple was a joke. Though looking back the dominance of M$ made everything pretty dire. (I wasnt in academia or telco so missed the boat on Sun and the BSDs. Linux was cute but a massive pain in the arse)
