@gvenema@fairmove.net @aaron.rupar I have a relative that lies constantly. It makes no sense since lies are harder to remember but she does it constantly which means most of my family doesn't trust her. Vance thinks he's helping his boss but no one trusts him either

@FaithinBones@mastodon.social @aaron.rupar I think, the crux of the matter is, that there are people failing to grow up in the realization that most interaction with the world around you can be win-win. If you grow up believing that the world around you is always out "to get you" and that everything is zero sum, instead of the few situations that actually are, then you naturally end up continually defecting in everything. I think a person like that has a visceral unconscious fear of the world.
