@beep@follow.ethanmarcotte.com While I never use LLMs for anything myself, I experienced some of these effects just by looking at the screen of someone doing “AI-assisted coding”. There’s no calm, the LLM is constantly in your face, screaming for attention. Pair programming with someone who is using an LLM is a nightmare for my brain. I have to actively look away from the screen when I want to think about something for a second or two.
