Now, can we talk about why is it that governement and companies desperatly want AI to save the economy?

Currently, the economy is in crisis because the rate of profit is too low. The only solution that capitalists have found to keep making profits is to gamble their fundings into AI companies and their promises that it will somehow recoup that money. That's a big bubble that is likely to burst in the next 6 months to 3 years. Capitalists know that, which is why they are courting governments for public money and pension funds money. Once they are too big to fail, governments will be forced to bail them out when the bubble burst, just like they did to banks in 2008's subprime mortgage crisis. And that's a crisis that we are still paying back. We can't afford a new crisis.
