Next federal elections are in 2029. People have been sharing poll results for one of the most racist former East German states where the AfD has a chance to get a majority all by itself and break the blockade as if it was for the entire country. I don't think they'll be able to do much even if they control a state; in many of the others they're nowhere near a majority, and that reflects on federal results.

  • @Paleface@nicecrew.digital Chink clanker to the rescue From Deepseek. Avg afd federal election polls at 29% projected to be the biggest party by 2029. Projected clear majority winner in the big states under discussion. In the state elections. Here's the good part. The Chinese government sees the afd as a valued future partner in real politik in international affairs and appreciates its rise. Nothing about muh racism. Hhhmmm. Why is that? Oh... "Personal Ties and Symbolic Significance: AfD co-chair Alice Weidel previously studied and worked in China and speaks fluent Mandarin. She has been portrayed on Chinese social media as a "clear-headed" strong leader and is widely popular. Some analysts have noted that her sharp rhetoric and tough stance "closely match many Chinese people's preference for authoritarian strongmen."
