Advice needed, please help!
I’m thinking about launching a web app, which would require users to sign up and login.
I’ve looked into an email based authentication, but I’m not convinced I want to rely on a service like Brevo for something that important.
I’m thinking maybe using something else, like OAuth maybe (users would need e.g. a gmail or other account).
But I’m not sure this is what general users would expect. What is “the way”?

The way I see it, there are 3 methods that can be used: - email (requires a provider like Brevo to send emails) - oauth (Google, GitHub, Discord, Mastodon?) - passkeys (computer finger print, Face ID on phone) Ideally I’d implement as many choices for the user, but I’m not too keen on email. The thing I’m wondering about is what would be a user’s expectation when they are asked to sign up?
