@Sui@decayable.ink This one case is exposing half of the poison that flows through our societies with surprising ease. The bullshit, the hypocrisies, the weird exceptionalism at play and how swiftly that can be revoked and turned into a target.... None of this is a surprise, not in these hallowed grounds of fedi but it's laying a lot open.
I don't know that anything drastic will change, but I'm hearing unexpected people saying things that are pleasantly surprising to me.

In about a week they're going to put his name out there, media has already been harassing his family and workplace and trying to get interviews out of him. He's going to probably get murdered if he doesn't take this seriously and move out of the blue quickly, there are clearly a lot of hormonal psychopaths where he lives. It could get real interesting real fast. I had no fucking idea it was already this bad tbh, I'm not a citizen yet and I sure as fuck would get myself kicked out of jury selection if it's going to potentially endanger the lives of those I care about to just be honest under oath.
