@ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club honestly the comments on my latest blog have not been too bad. That said, they are also revealing of how bad our education on what science and engineering methods are. It is fascinating.

@ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club I have been blown away by the number of posts on my feed lately claiming that you or @pluralistic@mamot.fr are pro LLM and/or just talking trash in general. I don't understand how people whose prior posts I generally agreed with can purposefully misread and/or deliberately misrepresent your writing and positions so brazenly. I thought I had curated my mastadon follows relatively well but it's gotten quite toxic in the last few weeks.

@ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club I took a look at HN (I don't normally visit) and honestly most comments were largely in agreement. Mostly adding nuance to your argument. You may have a more receptive audience than you think.

@ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club if you don't read HN comments why was the broken link fixed after someone posted about it on HN? https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48965060

@ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club The most mean-spirited I could find on HN is this one: "I read the entire post, and I think this company has no expertise at all."

@ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club "Interesting that he claims all groups of people contain a certain percentage of 'Morons' but then he says he only surrounds himself with brilliant people, which, by definition, makes him the moron." That’s… that’s the goal for anyone who really wants to improve. My biggest disappointments career-wise have been times when I’ve concluded that I’m the most capable person nearby. (This does not mean I’ve concluded correctly, mind you.)
