If black people don't have rights; you don't have rights. If Muslims don't have rights, you don't have rights. If transgender people don't have rights, you don't have rights. If women don't have rights, you don't have rights. If you allow anybody's rights to be compromised then you are putting your own rights in question.

  • @laprice@beige.party Yep, if you ever take a position that maybe some people, just a few, might not have rights, you have opened negotiations with the devil. He has a grin on his otherwise empty face, and photos of your loved ones laid out on the table.

  • @laprice@beige.party Absolutely! This was one of the most basic lessons we were all supposed to learn from Holocaust history. Either we all make it or none of us will. Throwing trans people (or anybody) under the bus was both evil and ineffective then, and it's the same now. I had a lengthy education in totally unrelated subjects, but even I learned that in my limited history classes.
