I tolerate using gestures for navigating on my work iPhone because I have to, but I really don't like swiping all the time on my personal phone. It's clumsy, and I usually have to try more than once.
I've re-enabled the "old school" navigation buttons at the bottom of the Android screen, as the good lord intended.

@analogfusion@c.im I’ve always preferred how android phones navigate but unfortunately I’m stuck in the Apple ecosystem due to friction with family. GrapheneOS was perfect for me in terms of all my personal needs and it truly was the best OS I’ve ever used on mobile.
